Devon and Torbay Combined County Authority audit of accounts – notice of public rights.
Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 and the Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2021, 2022 and 2024.
NOTICE is given that the unaudited statement of accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026 will be published on the Devon and Torbay Combined County Authority’s website by 30 June at Transparency.
The statement of accounts is unaudited and may be subject to change.
NOTICE is also given that from 1 July to 11 August any persons interested may inspect the accounts of Devon and Torbay Combined County Authority for the year ended 31 March 2026 on the Devon and Torbay Combined County Authority’s website or inspect a printed copy held at reception at Devon County Council, County Hall, Exeter.
Any persons interested may inspect and make copies of the accounting records of Devon and Torbay Combined County Authority for the year ended 31 March 2026 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records. Section 26(4) to 26(6) of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 exempts commercially confidential and personal information. Application should be made initially at the email dtcca.contact@devon.gov.uk or telephone 01392 383311, from 1 July to 11 August between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
NOTICE is also given that from 1 July to 11 August, (Monday to Friday), at the request of a local government elector for any area to which the accounts relate, the local auditor will give the elector or his/her representative an opportunity to:
- question the auditor about the accounting records
- make written objections as to any matter in respect of which the auditor could take action under Section 27 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014:
- any item of account which is alleged to be contrary to law; and
- any matter in respect of which it is proposed that the auditor could make a public interest report
